"Instrument Forms Plus Pro - Enterprise Version" is designed to manage multiple users at both a single site and multiple sites when configured as a terminal server installation. A few instruments to several hundred thousand can be easily managed and fully documented with a single application running on a terminal server linked to a Microsoft SQL database. This software provides engineers, technicians and managers the software tools to both manage an on-going new design project, manage an existing instrument preventative maintenance program and provide critical plant information all in the same database management system. This software utilizes the full benefits of Microsoft SQL Server Express database structures to manage the data securely and present the data quickly to the user via user interface displays and printouts. With this robust database structured environment in place, a company is able to maintain multiple sites from one central software application and all linked through remote access via the internet or company intranet sharing the same SQL database instance.The data structure arrangement allows multiple enterprises to be divided into multiple sites, areas, process cells and units. This is suitable for both the grass roots engineering disciplines and the plant maintenance engineers and technicians for managing initial design data and long term maintenance data for each instrument. The transition from the design to the maintenance of the instruments couldn’t be easier.Included within the application software are displays to import data from other software formats to initially populate the instrument index. You can add new instrument tag numbers in the instrument index, prepare ISA data sheet specifications (1981 and 2007 formats), and assign tags to scheduled preventive maintenance. In the maintenance module, you can log the "As Found" and "As Left" field data collected for each analog instrument as well as log service comments. The software includes advanced capabilities for maintaining a robust instrument index that defines over 120 instrument attributes including drawing references, calibration ranges, set point, serial number, associated equipment, systems, links to a document book for drawing cross referencing and opening for viewing, and more. Many database display fields have a "type-ahead" feature with pick lists attached to enable selecting pre-programmed field data values. The 2007 specification format includes pre-programmed data field drop down pick lists values compiled with over 60,000 pre-programmed pick items for ease of selection. Outputs are included to print directly to a display, portable document format “pdf” or printer for instrument index lists with different sort and filter selections. Included are utilities to determine available loop numbers, quick I/O type lists, system grouping and many specialty reports. Links to web sites for manufacturer, vendor and model number, and password access level for unit level record edit, view, print and file utilities as well as audit trail activation are included. This application software includes modules to manage electrical motor schedules and specifications, mechanical equipment lists and specifications, piping line lists and systems.
