This series of PowerPoint slides provides an excellent overview of electronic security techniques and standards status for the manufacturing and control systems environment. It is based upon the author’s experience with ISA’s SP99 committee and is a useful tool for both self-study and to acquire familiarity with electronic security systems as applied in an industrial setting. It introduces the security concepts outlined in ISA’s two best-selling Technical Reports, ANSI/ ISA-TR99.00.01-2004, and ANSI/ISA-99.00.02-2004.
