Abu Dhabi Forum to Provide Solutions to ICS Cyber Security Threats
Next month will see the world’s leading experts gather in Abu Dhabi to present and debate the latest developments in protecting Industrial Control Systems (ICS) in the Oil and Gas sector from cyber attack. The Oil & Gas ICS Cyber Security Forum Programme has no less than 27 international speakers led by Howard Schmidt, until recently the cyber security advisor to the US President. These experts have very real experience in dealing with the continual growing threat of Oil & Gas enterprises being disrupted and unable to function normally by the wide range of cyber attacks. The Shamoom experience last year was a significant example of the dangers to the Oil & Gas Supply Chain.
ICS systems are used throughout this industry and their security needs differ greatly from IT security. Within the enterprise, security and controlled access dominates the role of the IT manager whereas ICS operators require robust control features and continuous and often open access thus putting the primary objectives of the 2 systems in direct conflict. So specialized ICS Security Training is required and one of the features of the Forum is the In Depth Workshops on this and related issues.
Moreover the latest ICS Cyber Security technology developments will be on display in the associated exhibition which is free to attend. The complete agenda will found at www.csuae.org.
We look forward to seeing you and your colleagues at this unique international meeting which will provide practical solutions to dealing with the increasing threats. Also please note the group booking discounts are available on request.
