Honeywell unveil latest technology and service offerings at americas users conference
The Honeywell Users Group Americas symposium is taking place in Phoenix this week with over 1,000 users and experts of Honeywell automation technology gathered together to experience the latest offerings from Honeywell’s industrial automation business, Honeywell Process Solutions.
This year’s event will highlight more than just the enabling technology, as attendees will discuss the growing importance of preventative and corrective services that keep plant automation systems running at top performance levels, while easing the burden on their workers.
New technologies will also be on show and attendees can experience Honeywell’s latest Experion® Collaboration Station, a large interactive display that uses video and telecommunications capabilities to remotely connect people and plant from around the world. This approach helps centralizes operations, and helps personnel analyze events and resolve situations faster.
Other technologies such as virtualization, process simulation software and cyber security will also be highlighted in a series of Honeywell- and customer-led sessions and roundtable discussions featuring topics that impact how manufacturers operate plants. Attendees will also hear details of new services designed to help Honeywell’s customers ensure production goals are met by maximizing their automation investments and system performance.
No doubt there will be some new unveilings with typical Honeywell aplomb – as anyone who witnessed the introduction of Experion PKS Orion last year by Honeywell’s CTO Jason Urso portraying Captain Kirk in a highly realistic Star Trek parody will testify.
Central to the event is the Knowledge Center, an extensive demonstration and showcase area of Honeywell’s automation technologies. Staffed by Honeywell experts and featuring over 70 live demonstrations, the Knowledge Centre typifies the overall event with a stimulating mixture of technology, users and experts.
