ISA Announces 57th International Instrumentation Symposium

Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA (17 May 2011 ) – The International Society of Automation (ISA) announces that the 57th International Instrumentation Symposium (IIS) will be held 20–24 June 2011 at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The event is sponsored by ISA’s Aerospace Industries Division, Test Measurement Division and Process Measurement and Control Division.

This event will provide attendees with technical information on topics such as

  • instrumentation systems
  • data and advanced system and sensor technology
  • measurements and sensors
  • aeroaspace

Industry experts will present papers on the following topics:

  • electronic instrumentation
  • wireless technology
  • cybersecurity
  • aerospace systems
  • process measurement and control
  • virtual instrumentation systems
  • laser and electro-optics instrumentation
  • geo-science and remote sensing

Three keynote speakers will address the industry topic, “Turbine Engine Technology.” The speakers and their presentation dates are as follows:

  • 21 June 2011: Dr. Jih-Fen Lei, director of the Research and Technology Directorate at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) John H. Glenn Research Center
  • 22 June 2011: Roger Houck, Boeing Company, chief engineer of instrumentation and data systems
  • 23 June 2011: Theodore “Ted” Fecke, senior executive service, technical adviser, propulsion, engineering directorate, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
