International Society of Automation News Release Contact: Jennifer Infantino (919) 990-9287 jinfantino@isa.org ISA Announces Virtual Attendance for the 54 th Analysis Division Symposium in AprilResearch Triangle Park , NC (10 March 2009) – The 54th Analysis Division Symposium will be held in Houston, TX, 19-23 April. In response to today’s economic challenges, ISA will offer remote access to professionals unable to travel via its Live Meeting platform. “We are adapting ISA’s products and services to meet the needs of today’s conference attendees. Offering an option to virtually attend an ISA symposium allows automation professionals to have access to important industry news and updates—a necessity for anyone trying to remain competitive in today’s job market,” said Dale Lee, Director - Convention, Education, and Certification Services. “The addition of the Live Meeting option for our attendees is an exciting development for the event,” said Dale Merriman, Symposia General Chair. “We know it’s tough to get the funds approved for travel right now, but in order to help our companies get out of this recession, we need to focus on innovation and improvement. That’s what this event is all about, and we have some of the best presentations available on topics that matter to the industry. The Live Meeting option allows professionals and their companies a second chance to benefit from the value of this event.” Remote attendees will access the symposium utilizing Microsoft’s Live Meeting platform, listen to the conference via phone, and access to the presentations online. In addition, remote attendees will be able to submit written questions and comments via the Live Meeting website. The 54th Analysis Division Symposium features three full days of sessions and remote attendees will have access to all three days for $295 for ISA Members ($300 list price). This price will also include access to a virtual meeting archive in case listening live is not an option. The archive will be available for 30 days after the conference.
