Industry Publications Support ISA's Manufacturing IT Forum
Research Triangle Park, NC (22 February 2008) - Leading industry publications, including Automation World, CONTROL Magazine, InTech magazine, Managing Automation and Manufacturing Business Technology, are participating in the Manufacturing IT Forum, which will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, 20-21 May.
The Manufacturing IT Forum, with its theme of "Connecting IT and Automation," will focus on the opportunities, conflicts, and technologies that are creating new dynamics for owner-operators, suppliers, and integrators of IT systems in manufacturing environments.
Editors from the leading publications will moderate sessions and Q&A panels.
"IT departments are becoming owners of manufacturing automation systems," said Steve Pflantz of CBR Engineering, and Manufacturing IT Forum leader. "Automation is touching everything from devices to logistics and beyond, and leading publications are supporting this forum because of its timely value to the industry."
Attendees at the forum will have the opportunity to hear presentations focused on understanding how companies have successfully addressed the issues and used Manufacturing IT as a competitive advantage. Sessions will include presentations about the applications of technology, organizational structures, and best practices for the transformation of systems, processes, and business. Case studies and panel discussions with industry experts and members of the press will offer insights and practical tools that professionals need to address their challenges.
"This event is designed to provide best-practices, case studies and technology insights to control engineers and IT personnel who have responsibilities over control system networks and linking them to business networks. Broad support from the industry's leading publications demonstrates the importance of the issues facing IT professionals with manufacturing and automation responsibilities," said ISA Business Development Manager Bob Crigler.
The participating publications cover an array of technological, professional, strategic and business-related aspects of manufacturing, information technology, and automation.
