LDAR Symposium Planned for Early April in San Antonio

Research Triangle Park, NC (18 December 2007) - The 8th Annual ISA Fugitive Emissions - LDAR Symposium will be held 1-3 April 2008 at the Hilton San Antonio Airport Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.

The event brings focus to the business of compliance with today's complex leak detection and repair (LDAR) compliance, requirements, methods and management. Industry experts in leak detection and repair will discuss real-world implementations and ways to improve/optimize LDAR programs.

Newcomers, seasoned professionals, and regulatory agencies will network together at the event to share best practices for reducing emissions in ways that are effective and efficient. A new training course, "My, How 40 CFR 60 Subpart VV Has Changed," taught by Buddy Joyner, will be presented at the event on 1 April, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

40 CFR 60 Subpart VV has recently been finalized for the LDAR (leak detection and repair) community and the training course will study the NEW NSPS VV rule and help students determine how the changes affect LDAR programs. Participants will leave with an understanding of the applicability of the VV rule to their sites; identify changes needed in their current programs or ways to implement new programs, and more.

Conference sessions, paper presentations, an evening reception, and exhibits will be featured at the event. Exhibit and sponsorship opportunities are available. For details, contact Rodney Jones at rjones@isa.org.
