ISA Hosts Web Seminar on "Highly Effective Alarm Management - The Seven Steps"

Research Triangle Park, NC (2 August 2007) -- ISA and InTech magazine recently hosted an interview with Eddie Habibi and Bill Hollifield, authors of a new ISA book on alarm management entitled "Alarm Management: Seven Effective Methods for Optimum Performance."

During the interview with Greg Hale, Editor of InTech magazine, the authors provide an overview of the new ISA book and address the growing importance of alarm management in industry. The recorded web presentation describes how properly designed and maintained alarm systems dramatically improve plant safety, reliability, and profitability. 

The session includes discussion of how to improve the performance of alarm systems in process plants using a seven step approach that
includes:

  • Benchmarking alarm system performance against industry best practices
  • Developing a detailed and comprehensive alarm philosophy document
