ISA Announces Details of 53rd Annual International Instrumentation Symposium
Research Triangle Park, NC (19 February 2007) - ISA's International Instrumentation Symposium, sponsored by the Aerospace Industries, Test Measurement, and Process Measurement and Control Divisions, will be held 30 April - 3 May at the Doubletree Hotel, Warren Place, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
This annual event gives attendees an opportunity to gain comprehensive technical information and training in the traditional areas of measurements/sensors, instrumentation systems, data and advanced system/sensor technology. Many innovative presentations are planned on state-of-the-art topics, ranging from new technologies to new applications.
"The 53rd IIS Symposium is the main forum for new and innovative instrumentation techniques," said symposium General Chair Roger Blais of The University of Tulsa. "This event gives instrumentation professionals a chance to get together, share best practices, and learn from experts in the field."
Training courses offered at the event include classes focused on wireless technology, measurement uncertainty, and process measurement sensors. The conference will also feature a vendor exhibit, an awards luncheon honoring notable industry professionals, and a networking reception. The awards luncheon will feature a keynote speaker, Donald Hamilton, from the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism
(MIPT) in Oklahoma City, the site of the April 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building.
