Training Courses
25 April – Analysis Division Short Course: Fundamentals of Process Analyzer Techniques: $120
This course provides an overview of analytical principles, equipment, and practices commonly used in the implementation of process analyzers in the refining, chemical, and power industries. Sessions cover the measurement principles involved in basic process analyzers [gas chromatography and spectroscopy (UV, Vis, IR, FTIR)], other widely used analyzers [pH, conductivity, moisture, thermal conductivity, refractive index], and new technology analyzers [Tunable Diode Lasers, Raman analyzers]. Sample conditioning systems are discussed with regard to design and function. Analyzer communication connectivity to the control system will be presented as well as project management practices and documentation required for a successful installation. These topics are presented by a team of ISA Analysis Division senior subject matter experts who interact with the attendees through instruction, sharing of experiences, and answering questions.
29 April – Advances in Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEM) Techniques (SP05PC): $445 ISA Member/$545 non-member
This course is specially designed to assist industrial environmental personnel with understanding the new regulatory initiatives associated with application of mandated CEMs in different EPA programs. You will be able to identify the various CEM monitoring techniques associated with real-time monitoring for HCl/Cl2, particulate matter (PM), multi-metals, acid gases, total hydrocarbons (THCs), dioxin/furans, and gaseous mercury. Find out more.
Companies manufacturing analytical equipment and products are invited to attend special events and socialize with symposium attendees “after hours.” All vendor-sponsored hospitality offerings are held on-site in the conference hotel and are scheduled to avoid conflict with the technical program, ensuring attendees maximum opportunities to participate in every area of interest.
