Telemetry Superintendent - Long Beach Water Dept

Annual Salary: $81,000 - $121,000 with excellent benefits. This position oversees the planning, design and analysis of the electrical infrastructure, instrumentation, controls and power systems, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and telecommunication systems for water and wastewater utility systems. Examples of responsibilities include analysis of project documentation including maps, drawings and specifications and the development of cost estimates and schedules for telecommunications, SCADA, computer control systems, and water process systems. Furthermore, the incumbent must analyze electrical and system controls operations for the purpose of recommending system improvements.

Candidates must have professional level experience in the field of electrical and controls engineering and knowledge of principles and practices of electric system engineering and project administration; communications systems, load research, automated distribution and transmission planning; methods, materials and techniques used in the design and construction of electrical, SCADA and telecommunication projects; applicable laws and regulatory codes; recent developments regarding electrical engineering; computer control systems; advanced programming principles; operation and use of communication systems; fiber optics; electrical system hardware and software applications; and capacitor and voltage control systems.
