The latest version of the standard is focused on performance monitoring; these concepts are consistent with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s current position on the requirements for setting supporting Limiting Safety System Settings (as defined in 10CFR50.36) and the calculation of necessary tolerances. The 2006 version of the standard is consistent with the current NRC guidance and will provide the information necessary to comply with this guidance. ANSI/ISA-S67.04-2006is intended for use in establishing procedures for determining setpoints, setpoint margins, and test routines in safety-related instrument channels.
