Description:

This is the second of six seminars focused on the Control Systems Engineer (CSE) PE Exam. It will give you a quick review of the base primary measurement of pressure and types of signal transmission. The review topics include units of measurement, sensor types, transmitter fundamentals, applications and calculations.

You will be able to:

  • Define sensor types and characteristics
  • List units of measurement
  • Identify pressure sensors, level devices, and analytical basics
  • Interpret likely types of exam questions in:
    • Transmitter application
    • Sensor characteristics and ranges
    • Calibration spans and use in control systems
    • Employing the correct type of sensor
    • Pressure measurement applications
  • Identify focus areas for more effective studying to assist you in passing the CSE PE exam

You will cover:

  • Pressure Units and Sensors
  • Signal transmission types
  • Distributed Control and fieldbus basics
  • Level Units, Sensors, and Applications
  • Analytical Basics and Applications
  • Measurement (Pressure)and transmission
    • in Domain I of CSE Exam (4 questions or 5% of exam)
    • in Domain II of CSE Exam (8 questions or 10% of exam)

  • Engineers with four or more (4+) years in control systems engineering
  • Individuals who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
  • Employees of engineering companies
  • Engineers working with industrial companies

Equipment and System Requirements:
