Description:

The PLCopen Motion Control Function Blocks (MCFBs) are a result of many hours of design and implementation from the Motion Control Task Force. These IEC-based function blocks allow for a standardized approach to implementing a motion control automation solution. This Web seminar will introduce you to the world of IEC-based motion control using the PLCopen pre-defined MCFBs.

You will be able to:

  • Better understand a function block implementation in an IEC environment
  • Understand the benefits of a standardized approach to motion control
  • Learn how to implement a option control solution that can be applied to any hardware platform that supports the function blocks
  • Implement a motion control design using the MCFB solution from PLCopen
  • Understand the function blocks used in the speciation
  • Interpret a motion control program developed using the PLCopen MCFB

You will Cover:

  • IEC-based function blocks
  • Introduction into the world of motion control
  • The PLCopen MCFB family
  • Applying these function blocks

Equipment & System Requirements:

  • Touch-tone telephone with a speakerphone for the audio portion of the live seminars
  • Internet connection running at 28.8 bps or faster
  • Java-enabled browser (Netscape Navigator 4.04 or later or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later)
  • Computer monitor large enough for all participants to view or projection system to project the presentation for larger audiences.
