This position will be responsible for aiding members of Development and various other MedImmune departments with the day to day management and support of all Development Process Control Systems (PCS). These systems include Emerson Delta V systems, Rockwell Automation Systems, Allen Bradley Systems, and Siemens Systems. The successful candidate will provide advanced batch process automation technical knowledge and engineering support. The primary responsibility of this new role is to maintain high availability operations of all Control systems. This position will directly interface with members of IT, Validation, Development, Quality, Engineering and others as needed. In depth experience with FDA and industry related regulatory guidelines, (21 CFR part 11, ISA S88, S95, S99, GAMP, GLPs, GMPs, and international standards such as ISO, IEEE, and ANSI) is required. This position will require constant collaborative interactions with co-workers across functional groups and departments. Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates should have a 4 year technical degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field. Strong computer skills with the demonstrated ability to understand a variety of systems development concepts and applications. A minimum of 4-6 years related experience is desired. Experience in conducting, and maintaining PCS validations is essential. Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and LIMS (Sapphire) systems a plus. Experience in GMP environment is essential.
Special Skills/Abilities: The candidate must possess broad knowledge of process control systems across the drug development area. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidate must possess good time management skills and organizational skills.

Education: B.S. /M.S in Engineering, Bio-Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Experience: 4-6 years of Process Control System experience with a Bachelors or 3 years experience with a Masters degree.
