Principal Engineering & Installation Specialist position in Americas - East Region Operations group based in North Philidelphia PA. This position will be for the Americas - East Region Projects Group working on Specialty Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Hydrocarbon Processing, Refining and Batch Projects. This Sr. Engineering & Installation Specialist position will interface directly with the Project Manager, Project Engineers and customers of the project. This position supports field engineering and installation activities for full scope projects. Activities will include site visits for preliminary engineering activities, FEL and/or project scope definitions, electrical and instrumentation engineering, P&ID development, construction bid package development, construction management and startup assistance for full scope projects. This individual will work from and develop P&IDs, instrument loop drawings, electrical schematics, plot plans, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, project schedules and written descriptions. The position will present the opportunity to work on projects as an individual contributor or leading a project team (typically 1-3 field engineers) that focus on electrical, Instrumentation and Construction portions of a Full Scope project delivery with objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital and safety performance. Minimum Qualifications: · Ability to follow standardized work processes for definition, design and engineering of implementation for Full Scope Projects · Ability to define and document the E & I portions of Full Scope Projects and DCS. · Ability to design electrical Motor Circuits · Ability to design Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) · Ability to design Instrumentation Drawings · Ability to work with remote engineering centers and multi-site project teams · Develop and maintain an electronic tracking system for engineering documents · Effective communication skills · Knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook/Exchange, etc.) · Familiar with creating and managing a database to keep track of the vendor data · Experienced in working within small integrated teams · Ability to populate engineering database from engineering documents (i.e. instrument specification sheets) · Support engineering deliverables and quality reviews · Support preparation of material requisitions for third-party vendor content · Ability to present and review construction bid packages with customers and outside firms Desired Qualifications: · Field experience as it relates to Front End Engineering Design (proposal support) · 8 + years of related Instrumentation and Electrical Design & Engineering experience in the process control industry · Construction Management of Process Control Installation projects · Ability to perform design using Computer Aided Design (Auto CAD) applications · Honeywell Product Knowledge · Ability to work with customers at the initial steps of a project to define to entire project scope · Ability to work with Microsoft Access as a tool for auto-creating engineering deliverables · Ability to create standard re-useable project documentation Position based in Fort Washington PA.
