Kermit M. Fischer Environmental Award

The Kermit M. Fischer Environmental Award recognizes an outstanding achievement in the conception, design, and/or implementation of an application of instrumentation and/or automatic control in the field of environmental science, including applications for the enhancement or preservation of the environment. The award is in memory of Kermit Fischer.

Award and Presentation:

The Kermit M. Fischer Environmental Award may be conferred annually and carries a $1,000 honorarium and plaque. Presentation is made at the annual honors and awards program.

Qualifications:

The award is open to any person. Its purpose is to recognize significant contributions to the applications of instrumentation and/or control in the broad field of environmental science and conservation. Consideration will be given to applications in all areas of environmental conservation, environmental monitoring, environmental safety, and emissions and effluent monitoring and control.

Nomination:

Nomination of an individual for the Kermit M. Fischer Environmental Award is accepted from any individual. Nominations are made in writing on the appropriate form.
