Welcome to the 55 th International Instrumentation Symposium!
Sponsored by the Aerospace Industries, Test Measurement, and Process Measurement and Control Divisions of ISA, the 55th International Instrumentation Symposium will provide an outstanding opportunity to gain valuable technical information and training in the traditional areas of measurements/sensors, instrumentation systems, data and advanced system/sensor technology, and many other state-of-the-art areas.
Industry experts will present papers on important topics like electronic instrumentation, wireless technology, Cybersecurity, aerospace systems, process measurement and control, virtual instrumentation systems, laser and electro-optics instrumentation, geo-science and remote sensing, and more. The event will also feature volunteer-led tutorials, social events, exhibits, networking, and social functions, including a student presentation/paper competition.

Job Skills for Changing Economic Times
Despite a continuing downturn in the economy, some industry sectors are beginning to show slowed growth, with some areas actually experiencing unusual growth due to shifts in demand and lifestyle. This seminar will focus on ways to capitalize on those changes and maintain, or secure gainful employment. Topics to be covered include a discussion of transferrable job skills, job search skills, methods of finding or keeping a job during a recession, and the ISA professional network connection. Participants will learn how to create a plan of action, a resume reflective of their competencies, and breadth of opportunities in a wide range of industries; organizations; and government.

The general chair and staff for the 55th International Instrumentation Symposium wish to welcome guests and spouses of symposium attendees. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast each morning beginning at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the event. In addition, there will be a special trip to the Kemah boardwalk area for shopping and lunch at your own expense. Transportation for the tour will be provided.
