ISA | Requirements
A CAP Associate has completed a four year academic degree in automation or a related engineering or technology area. Related areas include instrumentation, measurement and control, chemical, electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering or technology. Computer programming courses related to practical engineering applications also qualify. The applicant has a six month window of eligibility to take the exam, three months before or after the applicant’s graduation date from the four year degree program.
Applicants should talk with their university sponsor/professor about offering a CAP Associate exam at the applicant’s educational institution. The sponsoring professor should complete a site agreement and provide to ISA to schedule the exam along with the collected applications and payment for those students registering to take the CAP Associate exam.
The student application should be accompanied by an official transcript to verify the educational background of the applicant.
