2013 WWID Scholarship Program Announced

Applicaitons are due January 31, 2013. Scholarship money pool of $2000.

The ISA water/wastewater division (WWID) is pleased to announce the 2013 ISA WWID Student Scholarship Program.  Students can apply by filling out the application form and attaching a 200-word essay on why they should win, a copy of their academic transcript and confirmation of enrollment.  The application deadline is January 31, 2012.

The ISA water/wastewater division (WWID) is pleased to award up to $2000 of scholarship money to encourage WWID members and their sons/daughters to pursue higher education. In addition, winners will receive a complementary 2 year student ISA membership. Applications are due by postal mail or email by January 31, 2013. Winners will be notified by February 28, 2013 via telephone and email, and will be required to provide a photo and short biography that can be used for publicity reasons. Scholarship money will be distributed by check and mailed after the winner is contacted and has supplied the required photo/bio. Scholarships will be awarded at the sole discretion of the WWID scholarship committee, with preference being given to students enrolled in technical programs that lead to careers in the water/wastewater sector.

2012 WWID Scholarship Winners Announced - March 26, 2012

Michael Fedenyszen, our WWID scholarship chair, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2012 ISA Water/Wastewater Division student scholarships.

The winners are Robert G Burmeister from South Bend, Indiana, USA and Sharon Miller from Riverdale, New York, USA.  Robert is attending Indiana University at South Bend, and Sharon is attending College of Mount Saint Vincent.

2012 WWID Scholarship Application Deadline Extended to Feb 15, 2012!

The ISA’s Water & Wastewater Industry Division is committed to encouraging youth into higher education by offering two annual one-thousand dollar ($1000.00 USD) scholarships to qualifying candidates. The winners will be selected by a lottery chance in February 2012. All eligible candidates and their application forms will be reviewed by the Scholarship Chairman before the drawing and must meet the following requirements.

1) Applicant must have a parent who is an ISA WWID active member, or the applicant must be an ISA WWID Student member. The WWID member must be in good standing with ISA (i.e., dues paid to date).

2) The candidate must be enrolled as a full-time student in the spring semester at a two or four year institute of higher learning and he or she must have completed the previous semester as a full-time student.

3) To be considered for the ISA WWID Scholarship Award, the application form must be filled out completely and mailed to:
