 Passive Wireless Sensor-Tag Workshop

Purpose:  

To bring many Passive Wireless Sensor(PWS) developers, manufacturers and potential industry and government end-users together to further the technology, product awareness and applications.  The open community of practice and public database that forms over time will stimulate the industry and understand the larger market drivers that will drive costs down and applications up. We will also discuss logical next steps.

Objectives:

  • Increase Awareness of PWS technology, capability, current  & potential applications.
  • Facilitate partnering and collaboration between developers and potential users attending the workshop.
  • Develop  a PWS community and publicly available source of PWS presentations and contact info. 
  • Enable low cost, versatile sensing applications through PWS technologies for the benefit of all.
  • Prepare for standardization as the needs arise

2013 Passive Sensor Workshop:

May 21 - 22 at the Melrose Hotel, Washington D.C. (Georgetown), sponsored by the ISA Communications Division and held in conjunction with its annual symposium.  Chaired by Mr. George Studor/NASA

2012 Passive Sensor Workshop:

June 6-7, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency, La Jolla, CA (Near San Diego), sponsored by the ISA Communications Division and held in conjunction with it’s annual Symposium, the ISA International Instrumentation Symposium and Propulsion Instrumentation Working Group. Chaired by Mr. George Studor/NASA.

2011 Passive Sensor Workshop:

July 27-28, 2011 at the Westlake Club, Houston, TX (on the BP campus), Hosted by BP Chief Technology Office, Sponsored by the ISA Communications Division. Chaired by Mr. George Studor/NASA
