WELCOME LETTER FOR GLASS AND CERAMICS TECHNICAL INTEREST GROUP (G&C)

Dear New Member:

I want to personally welcome you to the Glass & Ceramics Technical Interest Group and to congratulate you on your choice to join us.   Our Technical Interest Group is comprised of over 100 industry professionals to whom you will now have access through our network.

Our Technical Interest Group serves its members in a number of ways:

  • Presenting papers, panels or tutorials at the Fall ISA Conference and Exhibit.
  • Keeping members up to date through our newsletter
  • Opportunities for networking with peers.
  • An e-mail discussion list-serve.

How do we make this happen?  Mainly through the volunteer efforts of our members, supported by ISA staff at Research Triangle Park, NC. Much of our activities can be easily accomplished over e-mail. For details refer to my most recent Leader’s Message which is posted on our Technical Interest Group’s web page.

We look forward to your joining us for Technical Interest Group functions and online discussions. You will be receiving a copy or our newsletter soon, and member contributions to the newsletter are encouraged.   Your feedback and comments are also welcome.

I encourage you to visit our web page and those of the other divisions and technical interest groups (www.isa.org/divisions). You may subscribe to the e-mail discussion group, which will enable you to better communicate with your fellow division members.

Again, welcome to Glass & Ceramics Technical Interest Group!  Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions or comments about our division activities.

Sincerely,

Robert N. Hubby
