Description:
This course provides an introduction to basic reliability engineering focused on safety integrity level evaluation of control systems. The entire evaluation process is introduced including safety instrumented function identification, PFD avg calculation methods, failure rate data, and documentation requirements.
You will be able to:
- Understand basic reliability and safety engineering terms
- Do simple SIL verification calculations
- Identify sources for failure rate data
- Understand what engineering tools are available to do advanced SIL calculations
You will cover:
-
