Please email me if you would like to attend the Wilmington Blue Rocks game on Tuesday August 20th.
The tickets are $10 each and must be paid for by August 13th. I would like to have at least 10 members sign up in order to hold this event.
This is a Cowboy Rodeo night with Fireworks thrown in to boot.
It's not a Friday Night, but we're bringing you a spectacular post game fireworks extravaganza!

June 2013 WISA President’s Message
By Jeff Arbogast
On Tuesday, May 28th, we toured the Twin Lakes Brewery in Greenville, DE. In particular, please join me in thanking Applied Control Engineering and Rumsey Electric for sponsoring the event so our members could attend at no cost. Each of these sponsors has been a long-time, consistent supporter of the Wilmington ISA section. While I was unfortunately unable to attend the tour, I have heard that the turnout was strong and the tour was enjoyable and informative. As we plan for 2013-14, we welcome any ideas that you have for a plant tour.
Please join us for our final scheduled event of 2012-13, the annual WISA Picnic. We will hold this year’s picnic at Applied Control Engineering in Newark beginning at 5:30 PM. Please join us for this fun social event to close a successful year.
In order to promote the automation profession in general (and ISA in particular), the Wilmington section is proud to continue to offer the $1000 Ralph L. Moore Scholarship to a graduating high school senior attending a 4-year college/university or technical training school. Given the technical focus of our society, candidates pursuing a technical or science degree receive preferential treatment. After extending our scholarship deadline to May 31st, we received four applicants (our greatest number in several years). We will present the scholarship to a worthy recipient at our upcoming picnic on June 25th. Please join us at the picnic to congratulate the recipient. Thank you to all of you that promoted the scholarship and sponsored applicants.
As we close the year, I encourage you to involve yourself in the various activities of the Wilmington Section. There are many ways to be an active member: participating in section meetings; encouraging others to join ISA and participate in our activities; mentoring others in the automation profession; and participating in section committees. (Organization of the March 2014 Wilmington ISA Show is a particular need. We will announce the date in the coming weeks.) Please contact me at email@example.com if you are interested in becoming more involved or if you have any questions, suggestions, concerns, or comments about the Wilmington Section and its activities.
Please encourage your friends and colleagues about ISA.Member benefits include: access to view ISA standards, access to over 40 technical webinars, access to download over 2500 technical papers presented at ISA conferences and symposia over the years, a subscription to InTech (the magazine of ISA) , and online access to ISA Transactions (our scientific journal). ISA members can also apply their full membership fee toward the purchase of an ISA standard (to download or print). You can even get rewards for recruiting new members. Please bring a friend to our picnic on June 25th.
