Welcome from the WWID Director
Dear WWID Division Members,
Welcome to the division! My name is Jon DiPietro It is an honor to serve as the Water & Wastewater Industry Division Director for 2011/2012. I'm looking forward to working with you and speaking the language of the Water & Wastewater Treatment Professional.
We are pleased to report that our 2011 Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls Symposium was a success. I would like to thank everyone who came to St. Louis to participate this year and to offer special thanks go to our 2011 symposium organizing committee, ISA staff, those of you who presented talks/papers, and our vendor/sponsor partners for making this event possible.
We are currently working hard on planning our 7th annual Water & Wastewater and Automatic Controls Symposium for 2012. We are pleased to announce the 2012 WWAC symposium will be taking place at the Holiday Inn Castle Resort in Orlando, Florida, USA on August 7-9, 2012. Like last year we will be sending out a call for papers soon, and we look forward to announcing this year’s symposium theme. Check the symposium website at www.isawwsymposium.com regularly for updates, and keep an eye on your email inbox for upcoming announcement emails about the symposium.
Part of the 2012 symposium will also be the launch of our new WWAC symposium website at www.isawwsymposium.com . The new website will be the spring board for information about the conference, calls for papers, keynote/plenary speakers, and other events associated with the symposium. Additional website features will include interviews with key symposium partners, videos of past symposium presentations, and sample papers/presentations in order to make it easier for employers to see the value of our symposium. The website will also serve as a gateway for symposium registration and for interacting with other symposium attendees.
As a division we continue to have an active and lively WWID LinkedIn discussion group. LinkedIn is a social networking site that is focused on professionals and business people, with the main purpose being communication and networking. It is a very useful tool for building your personal network and for marketing your skills/business. To join, you can search for the "ISA Water/Wastewater Industry Division" group on Linked In or you can use the following direct link http://www.linkedin.com/groupRegistration?gid=2031271.
We look forward to hearing from you on LinkedIn and seeing you at the upcoming 2012 WWAC Symposium!
