Mining and Metals Industry Division Members,

Greetings Division Members.  As your Mining & Metals Director, I would like to wish a successful 2011 to all our division members.  There are some exciting things going on within the Division. The Division will strive to publish an electronic newsletter twice a year. All Division Members will receive an e-mail notification of the newsletter when it becomes available. This email will contain a link to the newsletter that will be posted in our web page. 

Secondly, we are creating a Mining and Metals forum on LinkedIn.  This will provide opportunities for Members to communicate with each other and share knowledge.  Our group is now 1100 members strong.  We, as Mining & Metals professionals, need to draw on our combined knowledge  We also want to explore other communication options and welcome your input.  Please opt-in for LinkedIn and let us know how we can best communicate with you.

Finally, this year the Mining & Metals group will host some company sponsored webinars.  We will ask, based on your input, various companies to present important topics or products/solutions important in our profession.  The topics can range from environmental issues to specific products you may be interested in.

I look forward to serving as your Mining and Metals Division Director this year and with your support, we will continue to provide the depth of service you would expected as an ISA Division.  We will soon be issuing a Mining & Metals member survey to solicit members’ feedback and prepare new ideas for our Division's path forward.
