On Thursday, May 23, Ken Kogan from Convergent Systems Group will present: "Enclosure Ratings and Equipment Protection (It's Getting Hot in Here.....)".

Presentation Overview:

Semiconductor-based control systems require evolving infrastructure strategies to insure optimum system function and reduced downtime.   The exponentially increasing number  and density of solid-state devices are often both contributors to, as well as casualties of "Heat, the Silent Killer".  This session will explore various methods for mitigation through effective thermal management, a problem often compounded by the extreme solar conditions which exist in the southern Nevada climate.  In addition to temperature - corrosion, EMI/RFI and other environmental factors will be discussed.

Presenter Background:

Ken Cogan is the President of Convergent Systems Group, a Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative with offices throughout the desert southwest.  Convergent Systems has specialized in cabling, raceway and enclosure systems since 1992 and Ken has been working with industrial systems for the last twenty-eight years. He is a Construction Specifications Institute Certified Product Representative (CCPR) and a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
