About the Speaker:
Peter McHugh has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has worked in the electrical industry for over 30 years in power distribution, controls and automation. His work experience includes testing, production, design, training, marketing, field service, customer service, sales and management. For over 15 years, he has taught Automation courses at the junior college level, and given industrial trainings for over 30 years. He is an officer and member of the International Society of Automation.

About the Topic:
RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. The presentation will cover the basic technology, applications for use and typical hardware. Common frequencies will be discussed, as well as advantages and disadvantages when using RFID. There will be hands-on demonstrations of different hardware. Each attendee will be given a loaner RFID tag and will read it to determine the winners of 4 door prizes.
