U.S. Technical Advisory Group to IEC SC31J, Classification of Hazardous Areas and Installation Requirements

Scope

Standardization in the field of:

A) classification of hazardous areas, to assist in B) the selection, installation and use of electrical apparatus for explosive gas atmospheres.

Note: The word 'use' covers inspection, maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification. .

Purpose

ISA administers the United States Technical Advisory Group (USTAG) for IEC SC31J.

IEC SC31J USTAG Meetings

The IEC SC31J USTAG will meet in conjunction with the ISA12 Committee and Subcommittee Meetings being held 25-29 February 2008 at the Holiday Inn SunSpree, St. Petersburg, Florida. Information on reservations will be distributed once it becomes available.
