U.S. Technical Advisory Group to IEC SC31J, Classification of Hazardous Areas and Installation Requirements

Scope

Standardization in the field of classification of hazardous areas, to assist in the selection, installation and use of electrical apparatus for explosive gas atmospheres.

Note: The word 'use' covers inspection, maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification.

Purpose

ISA administers the United States Technical Advisory Group (USTAG) for IEC SC31J.
