ISA75.15, Process Data Presentation
Scope
The activities of the subcommittee shall be to develop a technique for communication of process data and other requirements between the parties involved. The technique may include, but is not limited to, such features as a process data envelope, a process schematic, and a process piping configuration. Verification of design and actual process conditions should be more easily and thoroughly accomplished using a "standard format" technique.
Purpose
The purpose of the subcommittee is to develop a recommended practice in the area of communication of process data information between the control valve specifier and the control valve producer.
A "data sheet" often omits vital information, with unfortunate results. A better selection of the final control element and accessories can result from adequate process data and ultimately better control of the process. The purpose of this activity is to facilitate that situation.
