ISA67, Nuclear Power Plant Standards

Scope

To develop standards for instrumentation and controls and to maintain, clarify, update, and provide application guidance on the standards already produced.

Purpose

ISA67 is organized to be the focal point in ISA for documenting through standards publications: criteria, standards, practices, and procedures related to instrumentation and controls in nuclear power generating stations and associated industries.

Meetings

The next ISA67 committee and subcommittee meetings will be held in conjunction with the 53rd Annual ISA POWID conference, 7-11 June, 2010, at the JW Marriott in Summerlin, Nevada. The meeting details will be posted as they become available. Please contact Jennifer Crumpler for more information.

A Word from the Chairman

As the new guy in the seat, I'd like to encourage folks to look over the ISA67 pages. ISA67 is responsible for all ISA nuclear plant instrumentation and control standards. Currently we address transmitter installation, sensing lines, leak detection instrumentation, setpoints and uncertainty calculations, and performance monitoring. We are considering standards on fiber optics, digital I&C, and a host of other topics. As the new fleet of power plants enter their design & construction phases, standards will be more important to producing a high-quality, consistent, and maintainable I&C suite. Please consider getting involved today!
