1994 ISA President C. Blair Ives passed away on 10 March. An ISA member since 1958, Blair was an active member and officer of the ISA Philadelphia Section. Prior to being elected ISA President, he served multiple terms on the ISA Executive Board as District Vice President (1984-1985) and as Society Treasurer (1986-1992).
The commitment of the Ives family to ISA runs deep, beginning with his father Clifford B. Ives’ active involvement and leadership in the local ISA Section, extending to his brother Robert Ives, who served as 2002 ISA President, and his son Terry Ives, who will be ISA President in 2013.
Blair worked for Moore Products for three years until 1960, when he joined the Ives Equipment Corporation, which had been started by his father in Narberth, Pa. Upon the death of his father, Blair became president in 1970. The company was moved to King of Prussia, Pa., in 1979 where it remains today. Under his leadership, the company grew from approximately 20 employees to in excess of 100.
