Understanding green chemistry

A colleague at Champion Technologies told me about your coverage of Champion's press conference on green chemistry at OTC (www.isa.org/link/050509_greengiant), which I helped organize.

Thanks for the attention.

It’s an important topic, and one that is widely misunderstood. The oil and gas industry is doing a lot more than most people realize to protect the environment from harmful chemicals, offshore and onshore.

And you got the main point: Green chemistry doesn’t have to be more costly than conventional, environmentally harmful formulations. In fact, cost has to be competitive for applications of green chemicals to be sustainable.
