Isolated DSCT DIN Rail Mount 2-Wire Transmitters

The DSCT series of loop-powered, isolated, DIN rail mount 2-wire transmitters offers seven family groups and 48 models to provide Instrument Class performance while operating on the widest loop supply power over a very broad temperature range. The DSCT transmitters interface to a variety of voltage, current, temperature, and position measuring devices. They condition and send analog signals from sensors located in the field to monitoring and control equipment, usually PLCs or PACs, located thousands of feet away in central control areas. Inputs accepted by DSCT transmitters include millivolt, volt, milliamp, thermocouple, RTD, potentiometer, and slidewire. Superior specifications include ±0.03% accuracy, ±0.01% linearity, five poles of filtering, 1500Vrms continuous isolation, and low output noise. DSCT transmitters operate on power from a 2-wire signal loop and modulate the supply current to represent the input signal within a 4 to 20mA range. Since the DSCT operates from the signal loop current, only low cost, twisted pair wiring is needed – no additional, expensive power or wiring is required.
