ioLogik W5340: Activate remote monitoring and alarms

In GPRS communication environments, typically IP addresses are assigned dynamically within the network to mobile devices. IP addresses allocated to mobile GPRS devices are therefore not accessible from outside the GPRS network (e.g., from the Internet) without costly specialized services or infrastructure. With the ioLogik W5340 Active GPRS I/O and Active OPC Server, the dynamic IP issue can be easily solved. The Active OPC Server makes it possible to install the ioLogik W5340 in GPRS dynamic IP environments. Installation is a breeze because ioLogik W5340 units will automatically establish communications with an Active OPC Server and all remote Active GPRS I/O devices can be managed with just one centralized Active OPC Server using a fixed IP. Active OPC Servers will receive and register the ioLogik W5340's IP address and receive tag updates. Application programs can poll data via the Active OPC Server without any additional effort or extra costs associated with IP management.
