SSG Series Industrial UPS with 40 amp Battery Option and NEMA EnclosureFalcon® Electric’s UL, cUL and CE- approved SSG Series Industrial and SSG-RP Series High-Temperature UPSs are specifically designed for the rigors and environmental extremes in industrial environments. Operating in temperatures from -20°C to 55°C (SSG Series Industrial) and -30°C to 65°C (SSG Series High-Temperature) , the SSG family is one of the most feature-rich UPSs on the market for industrial environments. Now, with a 40 Amp Hour (AH) ruggedized wide temperature (-30°C to 63°C) battery option, the SSG Series UPSs are the perfect solution for applications - such as connected computers and instrumentation - needing long back-up runtimes. The 40 amp battery pack gives users over 10 times the battery runtime over other standard UPS batteries. The rugged battery option consists of eight deep cycle, valve regulated lead-acid (VRLA), maintenance-free 40 AH batteries and two internal one-amp chargers. The batteries and chargers are housed in a sleek rack mount enclosure, which takes only 5U (8.75 inches) of vertical rack space. The battery banks may be interconnected or “daisy chained” to provide exceptionally long battery runtimes and can be easily added in the field after the SSG units are installed and in service. In order to ensure a reasonable recharge time, Falcon offers an optional charger system housed in a separate 2U rack enclosure. Each 2U rackmount charger module can support up to two 4 AH chargers. In addition to the rugged battery bank, both the SSG and SSG-RP UPSs are available with an optional “ready to install” NEMA 3R and 4 enclosures. The integration of the SSG and NEMA enclosures enable users to significantly speed up projects for transportation, oil & gas or anywhere large numbers of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are deployed that encounter extreme weather and temperature swings. Inside the high-grade, powder-coated enclosure that includes forced-air cooling, the UPS is designed to swing-out 90 degrees so the user can easily control the UPS via its front panel. Users can order an optional front panel that locks or one that simply secures the panel shut. The internal SSG Series UPS can be pre-configured to support domestic and global applications, as the SSG is available in both 120Vac and 230Vac (220/230/240Vac) models.
