Transportable 15,000VA transformer

In close co-operation with Con Edison in New York City, Bridgeport Magnetics Group has developed the PhazeSaver Model PS15000, a transportable 15,000VA transformer to restore 240VAC power from a single phase 120VAC and a good neutral source. Two units may be paralleled together for loads up to 30kVA. It can also provide 120V power from a service without a neutral but with two good phases. The PhazeSaver works with overhead 120VAC/240VAC and underground 120VAC/208VAC systems. The PhazeSaver thus restores power to businesses and residences that lose partial service until permanent repairs can be completed. The PhazeSaver improves public safety by avoiding running shunts or bridging utility customers when a phase is lost.
The 15 kVA transformer is mounted inside a rugged, fully enclosed weatherproof, NEMA style cabinet with a yellow color epoxy powder coat finish over Zinc chromate 14GA steel. The unit comes with an Electronic Magnetic Circuit Breaker with a 120A rating. All electrical connections are enclosed and secured behind a hinged door with tamper proof key lock. The overall dimensions of the PhazeSaver including handle and wheels are 26” High x 20” Wide x 11” Deep. Weight: 105 lbs. Telescopic carrying handle and heavy duty wheels allow for easy transportation to work site.
