Crystal Pressure Fittings
Dec 08, 2010
Crystal Pressure Fittings316 Stainless Steel, quick-test pressure fittings for calibration and test applications are designed with an emphasis on safety. Each component of the Crystal Pressure Fittings (CPF) line of hoses and fittings performs at up to 10,000 PSI (MAWP), with a 4:1 Safety Factor, and features a Safety Weep Hole to warn against disconnections while a system remains under pressure. Laser markings indicate the fitting type, size, part number, and Maximum Allowable Working Pressure to prevent a mismatched connection. The components in the CPF system are based on cone-type, medium pressure fittings, commonly used on offshore platforms. By incorporating the patent-pending O-ring design, CPF Fittings require only finger-tightening to maintain a leak-free seal up to 10,000 PSI. This addresses a common complaint among test technicians, who install and remove the same fittings several dozen times in a single day. In addition to a high Safety Factor and verified compliance with ASME B31.3 § VIII Division 1, CPF Fittings are completely compatible with HIP, Autoclave Engineers, and other industry standard fittings. CPF Hoses are also rated and clearly marked with an MAWP 10,000 PSI, yet are very lightweight and flexible, having a minimum bend radius of 1”.
