Figures released by the Brazilian Association of Electrical and Electronics Industry (ABINEE) indicate that the industrial automation segment grew 8% in 2011, with a turnover of R$ 3.483 million against R$ 3.237 million in 2010. The projection for 2012 is even more optimistic, with the sector to close the year with a growth of 14%, reaching R$ 3.971 million in revenue. According to experts, industrial automation is one of the best sectors today due to oil and gas projects, as well as projects in other areas, including chemical, petrochemical, food, beverage, pulp, and paper.
