Study shows automotive fuel cell market will skyrocket by the end of the decade.

The automotive fuel cell market will skyrocket by the end of the decade, according to a study by Oyster Bay, N.Y.–based market research firm Allied Business Intelligence. “Certain technical challenges still have to be met by the industry players across the board,” said Atakan Ozbek, vice president of energy research. If researchers overcome regulatory and technical obstacles, Ozbek expects 2.4 million cars running on fuel cells by 2011.
