Federation receives competency model award
To further the efforts of enhancing job growth, Automation Federation received top honors at the Progressive Manufacturing Awards Gala in June for its development of the Automation Competency Model with the DOL.
Leading up the award, Huffman led a team of volunteer subject matter experts, working with representatives from the DOL, in building the completed Competency Model, which Huffman said was “one of the most profound accomplishments that our profession has attained. This award not only recognizes the importance of this model and its positive impact for the future of manufacturing, it recognizes that the Automation Federation is the catalyst to accomplish these kinds of contributions for the future of automation and manufacturing.”
