ISA PRESIDENT'S SPRING MEETING Plan now to attend the ISA 2004 President's Spring Meeting, 27-28 April 2004, at the Westin Hotel, Long Beach California. Please check the ISA Network for general meeting information and detailed meeting schedules. Make note of all the Division meetings, as some of the usual time/date slots have been changed to accommodate Division leaders and reduce the potential for schedule conflicts. DIVISION LEADERS PLANNING WORKSHOP ISA's Division leaders conduct most of their business at President's Meetings during the year. At the upcoming President's Spring Meeting in Long Beach we will be conducting our annual Division Leaders Orientation Workshop. The workshop is designed to help incoming and existing leaders with their Division business for the upcoming year. If there is anything in particular you would like to cover at this workshop please submit to Bill Palmer right away. The agenda for this workshop will be posted within the next couple of weeks. URGENT... SEEKING CANDIDATES FOR IMAGE & MEMBERSHIP DEPT VP-ELECT The 2004 Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for Image & Membership Department Vice President-elect. The position has become vacant due to a resignation in late February and, to ensure continuity of leadership, it is important to identify a nominee in the 2004 nomination process. We have extended the deadline for nomination submissions for this position ONLY, to March 27. Additional information and nomination forms are available online, or you may contact Debbie Eby. REMINDER TO ALL DIVISION PROGRAM COORDINATORS The ISA EXPO 2004 Technical Conference Call for Papers announces a deadline of 15 March (today) for the submission of solicited abstracts, so if you are still working on yours, please finish up right away and submit online. If you have any questions please email Matricia Smith, ISA Event Planner, or call her at (919)-990-9264. DIVISION COMMUNICATION AWARDS — AMENDED DUE DATE Please correct your listing of Division Key dates to show that the Division Communication Award submissions are now due from Division Directors on 15 July, rather than 15 March. This change was made because of the exceptionally high level of Division activities at the present time, so that Directors would have sufficient time to devote to preparing their submission. A reminder that 2004 Division Calendar is available online under Division Leaders Resources (Members & Leaders > Leader Resources > 2004 Division Calendar). These key dates are designed to help Division Leaders plan their activities for the remainder of the year and stay on top of all deadlines. LET US HEAR FROM YOU The purpose of this Brief is to help you, the Division leader, do your job by providing some of the essential information. If there is anything in particular you believe is lacking or something that you would like to see appear in this Brief, please email it to Bill Palmer at wpalmer@isa.org. |
