ISA PRESIDENT'S SPRING MEETING

Plan now to attend the ISA 2003 President's Spring Meeting, 12-16 April 2003, Memphis, TN. Please check ISANetwork for information as to housing and meeting schedules. Please also make note of all the Division meetings, as some of the usual time/date slots have been changed to accommodate Division leaders and reduce the potential for schedule conflicts.

DIVISION LEADERS PLANNING WORKSHOP

ISA's Division leaders conduct most of their business at President's Meetings throughout the year. At the upcoming President's Spring Meeting in Memphis, we will be conducting our annual Division Leaders Planning Workshop. The workshop is designed to help incoming and existing leaders with their Division business for the upcoming year. If there is anything in particular you would like to cover at this workshop, please submit to Bill Palmer. Minutes from the last Division Leaders Planning Workshop are available online for your review.

SECTION/DIVISION BRAINSTORMING SESSION

One of the conclusions that came out of a recent Society task force on "Revitalizing the Member Experience" was that great potential exists for Sections and Divisions to work together to increase the value they can offer to ISA Members and others. The ISA leadership has therefore decided to make active efforts to encourage Section-Division collaboration.

You are invited to an informal brainstorming session on this topic at the President's Meeting in Memphis. The meeting titled "How Sections Can Get the Division Advantage" has been scheduled for Monday, 14 April 2003 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Get together with your peers from other Sections and Divisions and with senior ISA leaders to find new ways that Sections and Divisions can help each other provide even more benefit to the automation + control community. Of course these benefits can flow both ways, so don't hesitate to come if you are looking for ways that Sections can support your Division activities.

While you're there, don't forget to take in the many other training and networking opportunities that are offered at an ISA President's Meeting. Check the schedule to find out about other sessions that might interest you.

SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR YOUR DIVISION MEMBERS

Want to offer your Division Members a special discount on selected ISA publications and standards? Send an e-mail to Chip Lee, and identify up to 6 ISA books or standards of interest to your Members. A special discount code will be e-mailed to your Division Members, giving them a 15% discount for a limited time on purchase of the products. Take advantage of this special offer!
