This ISA EXPO technology exchange is in fact a technology smorgasbord encompassing aspects of power, chemical and substance analysis, pharmaceutical, and water with the overriding theme and focus being quality of life. Fossil power and nuclear power plant standards are here for discussion as are standards for safe and environment-friendly power applications. There is a nuclear power renaissance afoot and ISA made standards for nuclear instrumentation back in the old days before nuclear became pejorative. PAT (Process Analytical Technology), and NeSSI (New Sampling/ Sensor Initiative), can be found in this exchange. Plus there are presentations on in-line sensors, CEMs (continuous emissions monitoring) and even building-control issues.
