I2G Summit

SmartGrid technology will enable enhanced interactions between producers and consumers of electrical power. Industrial facilities, ranging from oil refineries to food processing plants, are major consumers of electrical power and many are net producers through captive generation capability. The NIST Industry-to-Grid (I2G) Domain Expert Working Group is focused on achieving interaction interoperability between the electric grid and industrial facilities, including power generation. The I2G Summit will provide an overview of NIST and I2G SmartGrid activities as well as a forum for identifying and discussing issues of importance to industry.
