The general function of an ISA technical division is to program timely technical papers, short courses, workshops and like activities, representing the division’s scope at the annual conferences or events; to plan timely technical meetings comprised of technical papers, short courses, workshops and like activities on specific areas or themes within the Division’s scope; to cooperate with other Divisions for programming in areas of mutual interest; to provide discerning review of papers offered for presentation, discussion, and/or publication.
ISA Technical Interest Groups (TIGs)
ISA TIGs are groups (usually associated with ISA technical divisions) of professionals, aligned by common technical interests, who meet in an electronic community to share information and ideas, discuss topics of interest, share documents, and answer questions posed by other community members. Currently ISA has three "technical interest groups" which are; the Textiles TIG, the Glass and Ceramics TIG and Leak Detection and Repair TIG.
