Students Shine at the 53rd IISWhat a memorable 53rd International Instrumentation Symposium (IIS) it was in May 2007! Students enlightened attendees with 60 technical papers, 3 tutorials, and an exciting student paper presentation competition. Six favorable student presentations were made for both graduate and undergraduate sessions at this year's 53rd IIS in Tulsa. Adam Leeper, Stanford University graduate student, won the Best Overall Student Paper award for his leading author role in the outstanding technical paper, "Instrument of a High-Speed Inertial Exercise Device Using Load Cell Transducers." A portion of Leeper's winnings included support for travel and an opportunity to present his paper during Aerospace Day at ISA EXPO 2007 in Houston, TX this past October. Thank you students, and the PMCD, TMD, and ASD Divisions for sponsoring a successful ISA Divisions event this May!
