ISA Leaders MeetingWhat It IsISA Leaders Meetings are a unique way to conduct the volunteer business of the Society, and involve a broad cross-section of Society leadership in the policy-setting and decision-making process. Two times a year, the Society President invites elected and appointed leaders of the Society, from Section officers through Executive Board members, to come together for two to five days of focused work on society business. These meetings are an excellent example of volunteer productivity. Although much work by the various committees and task force groups is done at other times and in other ways, many programs are debated, adopted and evaluated at these meetings. PurposeISA Leaders Meetings bring together 200-250 Section, District, Division and Department leaders, Standards committee members and other Society-level committee members to review and discuss the Society's direction and adopt guiding policies. In addition to conducting Society business, the meeting provides new ISA leaders with an introduction to Society structure, operations, and activities through numerous leader orientation sessions.
