ISA Leaders Meeting

How to get the most out of a Leaders Meeting

The key to getting the most out of an ISA Leaders Meeting is participation! It is particularly important to attend the general sessions and all sessions that apply to your area of ISA responsibility.

You will receive a program guide with a brief description of each session. Use your guide and the meetings schedule to select the sessions that are the most interesting and valuable to you.

All meetings are assigned a prefix to help you identify related topics (i.e., C&E = Conference & Exhibits, DVP = District Vice Presidents, PUBS = Publications Department). On the schedule several special sessions are identified as "Leader Sessions" (LDR). These sessions address the needs of section, district, division, department and Society officers, and provide basic information about various aspects of Society operations. Some groups such as Standards & Practices Committees are working on on-going projects that don't depend on the other sessions taking place during the Leaders Meetings. All leaders are welcome to attend these sessions.

Everyone works hard during a Leaders Meeting, but also participates in a number of opportunities to socialize with each other and have some fun. These social functions, including informal gatherings in the President's suite, are just as important to the conduct of ISA's affairs as the formal sessions. They provide you with ample opportunities to meet and network with other Society leaders and to get acquainted with our professional staff.
